A warm welcome awaits you at The Byre which is a beautiful grade 2 listed barn conversion set in a Victorian walled kitchen garden overlooking the Severn Estuary and Sedbury Cliffs, which mark the southern end of Offa’s Dyke path. It has self catering or bed and breakfast accommodation for 3/5 people.
 

There are two bedrooms: one double and one single, and a spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped to complement the sitting and dining room.

The well appointed accommodation is suitable for a family holiday or a special occasion. An ideal retreat for a relaxing escape. or a base for enjoying the many outdoor activities which the area has to offer.

The Byre is situated on the slopes of the Wye Valley, overlooking the Severn and there are many local attractions and activities, including both the Offa’s Dyke and Wye Valley walks. Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey and the Forest of Dean are all within easy reach. The top class golf courses of St. Pierre and The Celtic Manor are close by and there are numerous other activities to experience such as horse riding, ‘sphere-ing’, cycling, diving and bird watching.

Advice on activities, places to visit or eat out are always available.

The Byre is within the peaceful grounds of Sedbury Park in the countryside on the outskirts of Chepstow. The centre of town is five minutes by car and the local shops, pub and take-aways can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.

The Byre offers luxury, self contained, accommodation in a period structure built in the 1890’s and forming part of the Victorian garden complex. The comfortable, double glazed sitting and dinning areas were originally a glasshouse for peaches, and double doors open onto a walled suntrap terrace overlooking the recently restored gardens.
 

Offa’s Dyke path

It starts (or ends) just a few hundred yards across the fields from The Byre.

And, we offer a shuttle service for Offa’s Dyke walkers.

If you start at Chepstow, then as you walk northwards, you do not get the sun in your eyes!

Shorter breaks.
